Potato Wedges

In most of the restaurants potato wedges are either deep fried or prepared using frozen wedges . As we all know frozen food and deep fried stuff both are not so healthy ....
So sharing the healthy recipe of potato wedges which can be prepared at home easily.

Ingredients:

2 medium size potatoes
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
salt
2 tbsp of olive oil

How to prepare?
  • Wash the potatoes and wipe .
  • Chop the potato in half.
  • chop each half potato into wedge shapes. Pat all the wedges dry using kitchen tissue.
  • Now place all these chopped wedge shape potato pieces in a mixing bowl and add  olive oil. Mix well using your finger tips , so that all the sides of the potato is greased nicely with oil.
  • Now add chilly powder and salt mix again nicely.
  • Meanwhile Preheat an oven to 180 degree C 
  • Place the potato wedges in a baking sheet . Keep enough space in between the wedges. You shouldn't overcrowd in  sheet. Pour the remaining leftover oil of mixing bowl on wedges.
  • Now Bake the wedges for about 15 mins in a preheated oven at 180 degree C and check . If its not done , bake for 5 more mins and check again.You should bake the wedges until both sides become golden brown. Also poke one wedge with a fork and check whether it is soft inside before removing from the oven. In my oven it took 30 mins.
  • Serve hot with your choice of sauce .
Note:
  • You can add any other herbs or seasoning of your choice instead of red chilly powder.
