Celeriac Tambli/ Mosaru Gojju


Serves: 2
Ingredients
  • 250 gms of c of celeriac
  • 1 green chili/ red chilly, chopped
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp channa dal
  • 1/2 tsp of jeera
  • 10-12 curry leaves/kadi patta
  • a pinch of turmeric/haldi
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt as required
  • 2-3 tbsp of finely grinded coconut paste / kokos raspeln/cocunut milk
  • 1/4 cup curd/yogurt
How to Prepare ?
  1. rinse, peel and chop the celeriac into small pieces.
  2. Transfer in into a cooking vessel and add 1/4 cup of  water , turmeric powder , pinch of salt and cook for 10 mins. or you can pressure cook . make sure that this is cooked well.
  3. Mash the cooked celeriac . Now add salt , green chilly , curd/yogurt and kokos raspeln to it , Mix it well and transfer it to a serving bowl and keep aside.
  4. heat the oil in another pan , add mustard seeds , urad dal , jeera and channa dal 
  5. fry till the mustard seed pops out , now add curry leaves. 
  6. Now add the seasoning on top before you serve.
  7. This goes well with Rice/Parata.
